There’s no reason to be thirsty in Melbourne this summer with more than 60 water fountains now installed across the city as part of a joint initiative between VicHealth and the City of Melbourne.

The new fountains feature bottle refill taps to make it easier for you to refill a drink bottle while you’re out and about. These fountains have primarily been installed in shopping precincts, as well as areas known for physical activity and recreation, such as along Swanston Street, Bourke Street Mall and the Tan Track.

So whether you’re exercising, shopping or simply walking through the city, you’re never far away from free water in Melbourne. And the benefits are plentiful; refilling at one of these hydration stations is good for the environment, good for the hip-pocket and good for your health.

Melbourne has some of the best water in the world, and now you can really make the most of it while you’re in the city.
