This is a joint initiative between City of Melbourne, Australia-China Association of Scientists and Entrepreneurs (ACASE) and Nanjing Pukou High-tech Industrial Development Zone. It supports entrepreneurs to research, launch and expand into the Chinese market. The Nexus Innovation Competition 2022 will take place in late September with the Nanjing Summit to be held in November.

In February 2022, City of Melbourne partnered with HEX to deliver a five-day program designed to support early-stage startups to prepare for the Asian market and connect Founders with the startup ecosystems of Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore.
Delivered in partnership with ACASE since 2018, the program pairs businesses with students to explore new opportunities in the Asia Pacific region, including China, Japan, Indonesia and Singapore.
It aims to supercharge established local startups and small companies by tapping into international students’ business skills and knowledge of global markets through a structured one-week internship program. The 2022 NexStar Melbourne-Nanjing Sprint program was held in May.
A collaboration between City of Melbourne, SPARK Deakin, City of Bandung and Institute of Technology Bandung. This four-part virtual series brought together entrepreneurs, innovators and startup ecosystem players from both Melbourne and Bandung to explore innovative approaches to shared city challenges and facilitate knowledge-sharing and connections.
