The Melbourne Licensees Forum is the largest liquor forum in Victoria and has almost 25 years of history. It is the designated liquor forum within the City of Melbourne and contributes to the vibrancy of Melbourne’s late night entertainment precincts and safe night time environments. Its diverse membership collaborates to address alcohol-related harm, responsible service of alcohol, safety and security in and around venues, standards of patron behaviour, venue management practices, and other topical issues that affect licensed venues.
Members of the forum include licensed premises, City of Melbourne, Victoria Police, Metropolitan Fire Brigade, the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation, Australian Hotels Association, and the Australian Venues Association.
The forum meets quarterly. In addition to meetings, membership grants access to training opportunities, workshops, and regular communications that allows venues to keep abreast of updates, changes, and opportunities for licensed venues.
