Assistance with breastfeeding

The Breastfeeding Clinic at the City of Melbourne offers information and practice tips to support breastfeeding.

We offer booked appointments at our Carlton Learning Precinct and the Community Hub at The Dock​.

Support may include but is not limited to the following:

  • positioning and attachment
  • management of damaged nipples
  • assessment of milk supply
  • medications and breastfeeding
  • feeding support for multiple birth
  • mastitis
  • breast and nipple thrush
  • tongue tie
  • breast refusal
  • any other breastfeeding concerns, including formula use.
