Maribyrnong Waterfront: A Way Forward

We have undertaken strategic planning work to develop a future vision for the West Melbourne Maribyrnong Waterfront precinct.

Grassy river bank with rocks, trees and warehouse buildings

The Maribyrnong Waterfront: A Way Forward paper summarises key findings from background studies and presents next steps and future opportunities for the area under these key themes:

  • land uses and employment
  • urban structure and built form
  • water and open space
  • transport and access.

The Maribyrnong waterfront area plays an important economic and employment role in the city and this work provides clarity for existing land uses in the area.
