Starting mid-2023, we began installing clearer signs with new parking conditions throughout the central city. We’re now working to install parking improvements in other neighbourhoods across the municipality. Completed works:
What to expect while we work:
While we install new parking signs, meters, line markings and other assets to roll-out the improved parking conditions in a neighbourhood, we’ll minimise disruption and keep as many parking spaces available as possible:
- Work hours will be 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Temporary ‘No Stopping’ signs will be put up in work areas to keep them clear of public vehicles and allow our contractors to do this work quickly.
- We’ll maintain pedestrian and vehicle access at all times while works are underway.
- We’ll notify residents and businesses before works start.

Always check the signs when you park to understand what restrictions apply.

Parking improvement works are expected to begin in mid-March and be completed by Q3 2024.
The parking conditions on each street will be officially changed as soon as signs are visible on that street.
The parking plans below detail the parking changes in each block of streets.
