Multicultural Hub

Multicultural Hub is a place where people from Melbourne’s many different cultures can meet, work, share and learn in a safe and supportive environment.

Owned by the City of Melbourne and managed by AMES AustraliaOpens in new tab, our vision is for the Multicultural Hub to be an active, vibrant, inclusive and diverse space.

Located opposite the Queen Victoria Market and only a 10-minute walk from the Melbourne CBD, the Hub has a range of rooms for hire that are suitable for various events and activities including general office administration. The spaces are available on a regular or casual basis. Rooms can accommodate groups as small as two people and as large as 200.

A large room that can accommodate up to 120 people.

A large room with capacity for up to 70 people.

Accommodates up to 20 people.

Accommodates up to 25 people.

Rainbow room

Accommodates up to 25 people.

Orange room

Accommodates up to 50 people, or 120 when combined with the red room.

Red room

Accommodates up to 50 people, or 120 when combined with the red room.

Green room

Accommodates up to 50 people.

2 to 15 people

Small rooms

White room

Accommodates up to 15 people.

Timber room

Accommodates up to 12 people.

Yellow room

Accommodates up to 8 people.

Pink room

Accommodates up to 2 people.

Gold room

Accommodates up to 2 people

Silver room

Accommodates up to 2 people.

Room bookings and equipment

Bookings are essential. Your booking is not definite until you have received a letter confirming it from us.

If the space you requested is not available, we will make every effort to offer an alternative.

Booking forms are available on the individual room pages. If you have any enquiries about booking a room or would like help completing a booking form, call us. You can also make a booking in person at the Hub during business hours.

Fees apply and rates are available on the individual room pages.

The Multicultural Hub has extra equipment available for hire for people who have booked rooms. The minimum time you can hire equipment and amenities is four hours.

Getting there

Walk: from the CBD, walk along Elizabeth Street towards the Queen Victoria Market

Tram: Routes 19 North Coburg, 57 West Maribyrnong, 59 Airport West (Stop 7 - Queen Victoria Market) on routes:

Train: The Multicultural Hub is a short walk from Melbourne Central Railway Station.

Drive or cycle: There is metered parking on the surrounding streets and large car parks nearby, and bike parking is available at hoops in the surrounding streets.
