What Park Rangers do
- Assist park users and supply information about City of Melbourne's parks and gardens.
- Provide educational programs such as:
- Early Learning
- Junior Rangers
- School holiday programs
- Education pop-ups
- New to Melbourne!
- School incursions and excursions.
- Ensure the safety of all individuals within City of Melbourne’s open spaces.
- Engage and support those sleeping rough in parks, connecting them with support services.
- Rescue and protect the City of Melbourne's wildlife.
- Act as authorised officers, enforcing park regulations and local laws.
- Monitor and manage environmental issues.

Education Sessions
City of Melbourne Park Rangers offer free education programs to the community. These include curriculum-based activities, school holiday programs, community festivals and specialised projects.
