Revenue and Rating Plan 2021–25

We provide a number of services and facilities to our community, and in doing so, must collect revenue to cover the cost.

The Revenue and Rating Plan 2021-25 identifies each source of revenue to be included in the Council Budget, and the policy rationale and assumptions that underpin these.

Council’s revenue sources include:

  • rates and charges
  • grants from other levels of government
  • statutory fees and fines
  • user fees
  • cash and non-cash contributions from other parties, such as developers and community groups
  • interest from investments.

We asked our community to provide feedback on the Revenue and Rating Plan between 25 May and 15 June 2021. Following consideration of this feedback, the final Revenue and Rating Plan 2021–22 was adopted at the Council meeting on Tuesday 29 June 2021.
