Several taxi companies operate in and around Melbourne providing accessible taxis on request.

To book an accessible taxi or a hire car, go to: Travelling with a disability.

The site will help you to travel with assistance animals. It includes your rights as a passenger and driver obligations.

The Multi-Purpose Taxi Program offers cheaper trips for people with disability.

                    Assistance animals

It is illegal for drivers to refuse to transport people with their assistance animals. This is under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
