Located on the southern banks of the Birrarung (Yarra River), with incredible food options, nightlife, the bustling Southbank promenade and close access to the Exhibition centre and Crown towers.

Yarra’s Edge Marina is home to 149 privately held berth leases. Additionally, there is a total of 180 metres of bookable overnight berths for visiting boats, located riverside of the Yarra River and in the basin next to the Charles Grime pedestrian bridge.

Getting there

Whether you plan on arriving by car, ferry, helicopter, or a private yacht, there are several hassle-free ways to get to and from Yarra’s Edge Marina.

Yarra’s Edge Marina is a leisurely 30 minute walk along the river from Southbank and Federation Square, or a short stroll over the Seafarers Bridge from Northbank and Docklands. 

Boat

Yarras Edge Marina is on the sourthern banks of the Birrarung (Yarra) river in the heart of the city. To get there you need to navigate the Port of Melbourne and pass under the Westgate and Bolte bridges.

Public transport

Car parking

Parking in very, very limited around Yarra’s Edge. The nearest parking is Wilson Parking - South Wharf Retail, SouthbankOpens in new tab. This is 24 hours and is 500m (5 minute) walk to Yarra’s Edge.

Helicopter charter

Explore the city and surrounds from the sky from Melbourne HeliportOpens in new tab, located near the Spencer Street bridge in Batman Park. Alternatively, you can arrive directly into Melbourne Heliport from the Microflite helipad at Melbourne Tullamarine airport.

Yarra’s Edge Marina caters for vessels up to 23 m (maximum beam 6 m).  Please read the information below before making a booking.

Visitors can stay a maximum of 30 days as visitors, paying visitor berth pricing. 

For stays over 30 days please call the Marina office on 03 9658 8738.

  • Off-peak rates are valid from 1 May to 30 November.
  • Peak rates are valid from 1 December to 30 April.

Berth limits and specifications

The marina can accommodate yachts, catamarans and motor boats up to 30 meters. 

All visitor berths have power and water connected with 24 hour security.

Marina and lounge rules

Cancellation policy

You can only cancel your booking with us by contacting the marina office at 03 9658 8738.

We have a no-refund policy.

If you cancel your booking, you will be issued a credit note to use for a future booking made within 12 months from the cancellation date. Your credit will automatically expire after 12 months.

Frequently asked questions

Our officers visually check on your vessel each day on dock walks, checking on the safety and general condition of your vessel. We also have 24/7 CCTV cameras on the pontoons, where your vessel berthed overnight will be behind security gates.

You will be able to make an online bookingOpens in new tab any time before you arrive at our marina, even outside of office hours. Once payment is made, you will receive a booking confirmation and access codes to the security gates and marina lounge.

Whilst you may pull up to an empty visitor berth (green caps) outside of office hours, you will not be granted access codes unless a booking is made and paid for. If no booking is made for your overnight stay in our marina, you may be issued an invoice the next day. Please note that we have CCTV cameras across the marina operating 24 hours. 

Trolleys are available for use if required. Please enquire with the Waterways office at 03 9658 8738.

No, you will have to contact the marina office at 03 9658 8738 should you need to extend your booking to stay longer. Depending on berth availability, you may be asked to relocate your vessel to another berth within the marina. 

Mail or parcels can be delivered to our office to be picked up during your stay.

Please note: You may be charged a fee if we are requested to redirect or post any parcels that are not picked up. 

Vessels under 25 m can refuel at the nearest marine refueling service provider at D’Albora Marinas Pier 35. 

There are public berths located at New Quay Marina for day-visiting, just next to Cargo restaurant. Please note that there are no security gates for these berths, and overnight stay is not permitted.
