                    The City of Melbourne offers many funding opportunities to support and empower people and communities to become engaged, to connect and to take local action.

                     

                    • Aboriginal Community Grants

                      City of Melbourne is committed to enabling positive outcomes and promoting self-determination for community by building shared knowledge, respect and understanding of Aboriginal culture.
                    • Operational Support Grants

                      The City of Melbourne is committed to creating connected and inclusive communities. We provide Operational Support Grants to local volunteer-run community organisations that support community connection, social inclusion, access and participation for City of Melbourne residents.
                    • Community Inclusion Grants

                      The City of Melbourne is committed to working in partnership to provide funding for projects that support diverse communities through increased community connection, access and participation building on principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
                    • Community Events Grants

                      The City of Melbourne is committed to working in partnership to enable an inclusive community. Community Events grants provide funding for local events that benefit the City of Melbourne community by increasing community connection and belonging.
                    • Community use of town halls

                      The community use of town halls scheme (CUTHS) allows not-for-profit community organisations to apply for in-kind support for the use of the Melbourne Town Hall, the Meat Market in North Melbourne or Kensington Town Hall.

                    • Community Grants and Partnerships Framework

                      Melbourne City Council adopted a new Community Grants and Partnerships Framework in September 2022.
