Vaccinating against influenza significantly reduces the risk of contracting the virus and passing it to friends, family and colleagues.

Why choose City of Melbourne?

  • We offer affordable pricing – we charge a rate of $13 for any funded vaccination we give, which covers the costs of consumables and the nurses’ administration time. For non-funded vaccines, the price can be as low as $20 per vaccine. We do not charge more than $24 per vaccine, nor do we charge for staff who were unable to be immunised on the day.
  • Unlike many other corporate flu providers, we have access to nationally funded influenza vaccines for eligible staff (i.e. those experiencing many particular chronic health conditions, pregnant women, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people). This cohort qualifies for a significantly subsidised rate. We also have access to the specifically formulated influenza vaccination for employees over 65 years of age.
  • Immunisations are administered by experienced and authorised nurse immunisers who are employed by the City of Melbourne. Our friendly nurses will be able to answer any questions your staff may have.
  • We make registrations simple and paperless by providing your workplace with a customised QR code for registrations.
  • Each immunisation will automatically be uploaded to the Australian Immunisation Register.
  • We can offer multiple visits across different days and times to ensure that staff have ample opportunity to be vaccinated, regardless of what days they’re in the office. We’ve found that this is the best way to increase vaccination uptake in a workplace, and is cost effective for workplaces with more than 60 staff.
  • We can provide additional funded or paid vaccines to staff (such as Tetanus or Whooping Cough boosters), depending on what your workplace needs.
  • We offer the option to extend this service to family members, including children aged 6 months and over.
  • We are based locally and do not charge for tolls or travel time if your workplace is located 10km from the city. We also do not charge for parking for workplaces located in the City of Melbourne.

Benefits of having a highly-vaccinated workplace:

  • reducing the spread of infection in the workplace
  • minimising the cost of absenteeism
  • maintaining productivity
  • your employees requiring less leave compared to booking with other providers (finding an appointment, needed time out of work) and needing to get reimbursed for vaccination
  • higher vaccination uptake when vaccines are provided in the office
  • an increase in staff morale and motivation
  • improved safety in the workplace.
