Welcome to Melbourne City and Superyacht Marina! We’re located in the heart of Melbourne's inner-city waterfront. Providing direct access to Victoria Harbour, The Birrarung (Yarra River) and Port Phillip. Melbourne City Marina is centrally positioned, surrounded by some of Melbourne’s best restaurants, bars, hotels, sporting fields and commercial businesses.

Getting there

Whether you plan on arriving by car, ferry, helicopter, or a private yacht, there are several hassle-free ways to get to and from Melbourne City Marina.

Boat

Melbourne City and Superyacht Marina is the first stop in Victoria Harbour from Port Phillip Bay under the Bolte Bridge after navigating the Port of Melbourne.

Getting to Melbourne by boat through our incredible waterways can seem daunting at first but navigating the port of Melbourne and making your way through to the Birrarung (Yarra River) is an enjoyable, relaxing and exciting ride.

Ferries

Make the daytrip between Melbourne and Portarlington with Port Phillip FerriesOpens in new tab. A new service now operates between Docklands and Geelong.

Public transport

Car parking

New QuayOpens in new tab and 401 Docklands DriveOpens in new tab are the closest public car parks to the Docklands. 

Helicopter charter

Explore the city and surrounds from the sky from Melbourne HeliportOpens in new tab, located near the Spencer Street bridge in Batman Park. Alternatively, you can arrive directly into Melbourne Heliport from the Microflite helipad at Melbourne Tullamarine airport.

Berth information

Melbourne City and Superyacht Marina can safely berth vessels up to 65m in length with 1350 tonne displacement. Please read the information below before making a booking.

Visitors can stay a maximum of 30 days as visitors in a single booking.

  • Off-peak rates are valid from 1 May to 30 November. 
  • Peak rates are valid from 1 December to 30 April.

Berth limits and specifications

  • Secure floating pontoon marina berth, with 15 amp power and potable water. 
  • Maximum length 20 m depending on berths, maximum beam 6 m.

Lounge, facility or room hire

Melbourne City Marina boasts Australia's premier lounge facilities, offering panoramic views of the city harbour and Docklands esplanade through floor-to-ceiling windows. The lounge is equipped with a contemporary kitchen and an outdoor deck featuring a barbecue, available for public dry hire from April to October, subject to availability.

For industry-related organizations, our well-lit harbour view meeting room is available for hire during business hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday). 

The room rental includes six rectangular tables accommodating up to 18 people in a boardroom-style setup, a 60-inch wall-mounted screen, whiteboard, air conditioning, heating, and a shared kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and tea/coffee facilities.

Cancellation policy

You can only cancel your booking with us by contacting the marina office at 03 9658 8738.

We have a no-refund policy.

If you cancel your booking, you will be issued a credit note to use for a future booking made within 12 months from the cancellation date. Your credit will automatically expire after 12 months.

Frequently asked questions

Our officers visually check on your vessel each day on dock walks, checking on the safety and general condition of your vessel. 

We also have 24/7 CCTV cameras on the pontoons, where your vessel berthed overnight will be behind security gates.

You will be able to make an online bookingOpens in new tab any time before you arrive at our marina, even outside of office hours. Once payment is made, you will receive a booking confirmation and access codes to the security gates and marina lounge.

Whilst you may pull up to an empty visitor berth (green caps) outside of office hours, you will not be granted access codes unless a booking is made and paid for. If no booking is made for your overnight stay in our marina, you may be issued an invoice the next day.

Please note that we have CCTV cameras across the marina operating 24 hours. 

Trolleys are available for use if required. Please enquire with the marina office at 03 9658 8738.

No, you will have to contact the marina office at 03 9658 8738 should you need to extend your booking to stay longer. 

Depending on berth availability, you may be asked to relocate your vessel to another berth within the marina. 

Mail or parcels can be delivered to our office to be picked up during your stay.

You may be charged a fee if we are requested to redirect or post any parcels that are not picked up. 

Vessels under 25 m can refuel at the nearest marine refueling service provider at D’Albora Marinas Pier 35.

There are public berths located at New Quay Marina for day-visiting, just next to Cargo restaurant. 

Please note that there are no security gates for these berths, and overnight stay is not permitted.
