Queen Street plaza

Through the renewal program we created a new pedestrian-friendly plaza in Queen Street, located between the toilet block and F to M sheds, with more trees, more shade and more seating for customers to stop and enjoy the unique market atmosphere.

A new plaza

Together with the visitor hub and additional retail locations in String Bean Alley, the plaza will welcome visitors entering from the south and draw customers into the heart of the market.

All furniture and planters are designed to be movable, offering a fully flexible space.

This is one of many actions we are taking to deliver on the recommendations of the People’s Panel Report and feedback from traders and customers, for a greener, safer, more connected market.
