                    City of Melbourne Libraries offers free delivery of library material, to people living in the City of Melbourne, who are unable to visit their local library. Clients are visited on a set day every four weeks.

                    ​​The home library service provides a full range of library services, including answers to requests for information and delivery of specifically requested titles in a variety of formats:

                    • fiction and non-fiction books
                    • large print books
                    • audio books in CD format
                    • magazines
                    • music CDs
                    • DVDs
                    • materials in languages other than English.

                    Staff will talk to you about what your interests are and what sort of material you want, including any specific titles you wish to receive.

                    Who is eligible for the service?

                    You are able to receive the service if you cannot physically visit the library yourself because of illness, frailty or disability, and have no one in your household to visit the library for you. 

                    You are also eligible if you are temporarily housebound. 

                    You must have a genuine need for the service.
