Extend or change a space occupation permit

You can apply for an extension of time or amend your existing space occupation permit.

You can apply to extend, change the date or amend your Traffic Management Plan (TMP) of a space occupation permit via City of Melbourne Services. See frequently asked questions and guides on how to do this on our Permit support page.

If the total duration of your works is more than four weeks (including any extensions), you may need a Construction Management Plan (CMP).

You must allow three full business days for the extension or change of date to be processed.

You must allow 10 full business days for any amendments to your TMP.

There is a separate procedure to extend your construction parking permit, and for existing permits issued via ePathway (where the permit number begins with the letter 'E').
