You can walk to the Drill Hall from Melbourne Central Railway Station.
Conditions of hire
All welcome but we give priority access to:
- established migrant groups residing in the City of Melbourne
- new and emerging humanitarian and migrant communities
- Indigenous communities
- international student groups
- multi-faith networks.
You must also:
- be volunteer-run or primarily volunteer-run
- be not for profit, non-government, and not a political party
- support the principles of multiculturalism.
How to book
You must book the room for a minimum of three hours.
Fill in the booking form and return it to us. Your booking is not secured until we have confirmed it in writing.

- Community groups – not-for-profit: $55

- Government or tertiary: $125
- Commercial for profit sole trader: $155
- Weekend surcharge: $75.
The hirer is responsible for cleaning the Drill Hall. You will be charged $200 if the hall is not left clean and tidy.
