                    The Lord Mayor’s Small Business Awards acknowledge and celebrate Melbourne’s longstanding independent small businesses, and the people who run them.

                    Since the program began in August 2005, more than 600 City of Melbourne small business proprietors have been recognised.

                    • 2011 Silver and Bronze recipients

                      The 2011 Silver Lord Mayor's Commendations recognise small businesses that have operated continuously within the City of Melbourne for at least 25 years, while the Bronze Commendations recognise those that have operated for at least 10 years.

                    • 2011 Platinum recipients

                      The 2011 Platinum Lord Mayor's Commendations recognise small businesses that have operated continuously within the City of Melbourne for at least 50 years.

                    • 2011 Gold recipients

                      The 2011 Gold Lord Mayor's Commendations recognise small businesses that have operated continuously within the City of Melbourne for at least 40 years.

                    • 2011 Generational recipients

                      The 2011 Generational Lord Mayor's Commendations recognise family businesses that have continually operated within the City of Melbourne across at least three generations.
