Melbourne City Council leads by example, ensuring that gender equality underpins all Council’s planning, policies, service delivery and practices.
Achieving gender equality supports Melbourne City Council’s aim that all forms of violence against women and girls and persons of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities are eliminated in the City’s public and private spaces.
This Statement of Commitment establishes the expectation that gender equality is considered and prioritised in all current and future Council planning, policy, service delivery and practice.
