Tanderrum is the traditional ceremony of the five clans of the Central Kulin Nation: the Wurundjeri, Boom Wurrung, Wadawurrung, Taungurung and the Dja Dja Wurrung. A welcoming celebration of song, dance and cultural exchange, Tanderrum is an essential part of Kulin ritual.
For the past five years, Tanderrum has opened the Melbourne Festival, welcoming local and international artists to perform in a culmination of months of dance, music and adornment making workshops.
