The City of Melbourne's Relationship Declaration Register means both mixed-sex and same-sex couples can formally declare their relationships.
To apply to register your relationship, you and your partner are required to read the guidelines, fill out an application form and visit the Town Hall to formally sign a certificate of declaration.
A certificate celebrating the committment will be provided on the day of the registration.
Please note that the fee for applications received from July 1 2011 onwards will be $150.
