                    Metro Tunnel

Pedestrians, cyclists and trams on Swanston Street near City Square

The Metro Tunnel is a Victorian Government $11 billion major public transport project that will enable our train network to cater for Melbourne's population growth. The new cross-city rail tunnel will see the creation of five new underground stations in the City of Melbourne at North Melbourne (Arden), Parkville, State Library (CBD North), Town Hall (CBD South) and Anzac (Domain).

Once complete, our rail network will accommodate more trains and move more passengers in and out of the city. To find out more about the Metro Tunnel Project visit Metro Tunnel.
