                    ArtPlay works with a range of artists, arts organisations and festivals who are interested in sharing their artistic practice with children and families. We have opportunities for both emerging and experienced artists from all disciplines.

                    ​​​We encourage artists who have never worked with children before as well as those with extensive experience to contact us. If you have an idea for a workshop, would like to present a performance or mount an exhibition please email ArtPlay or consider applying for a New Ideas Lab EOI.

                      ArtPlay New Ideas Lab provides the opportunity for artists to propose new projects to undertake at ArtPlay as part of our ongoing creative program for children and families.

                      ArtPlay artist guides include information and resources about specialised areas of practice such as technology, Live Art, consulting with children and working with young children.
                    • Artist video blogs

                      ArtPlay works with hundreds of artists every year. One thing they all share is that they are always learning from and about children, so we asked several artists to tell us about a moment that taught them something important.

                      ArtPlay is interested in assisting artists to build upon and broaden their experience in working with children. In this series we ask artists what they have learnt through their experiences and where they think these lessons might take their work in the future.
