                    Melbourne City Marina, located in the safe waters of Victoria Harbour, is the largest visitor berthing facility in Melbourne.

                    Berth your boat and experience Melbourne in a unique light. See the spectacular lights of the city at night, with access to the entertainment hub of Docklands, or head into the city to experience the arts, culture and dining that make the city so great.

                    Day berthing is welcome at Yarra’s Edge and New Quay public berths.

                    Melbourne City Marina is rated as a level 5 Gold Anchor marina by the Gold Anchor International Scheme.

                    Whether you plan on arriving by car, ferry, helicopter, or a private yacht, there are several hassle-free ways to get to and from Melbourne City Marina.​

                    Ferries

                    Make the daytrip between Melbourne and Portarlington with Port Phillip Ferries. A new service now operates between Docklands and Geelong.

                    Public transport

                    Catch a free tram into the city via the 70, 86 and City Circle lines. For more information and timetables visit Public Transport Victoria.

                    Car parking 

                    New Quay and 401 Docklands Drive​ are the closest public car parks to the Docklands. 

                    Charter helicopter

                    Explore the city and surrounds from the sky from Melbourne Heliport, located near the Spencer Street bridge in Batman Park. Alternatively, you can arrive directly into Melbourne Heliport from the Microflite helipad at Melbourne Tullamarine airport.

                    Day visitors

                    Day visitors to Melbourne City Marina can berth up to four hours for free behind security gates, depending on availability. Call the marina office for more information.

                    Overnight visitors

                    You can berth overnight in Melbourne City Marina for short-term stays (up to 90 days). Make a booking at Melbourne City Marina:

                    • Existing customers: log in to book a berth at Melbourne City Marina.
                    • New customers: register to book a berth at Melbourne City Marina.

                    Please choose the appropriate size berth. For vessels over 20 m or to make bookings for a group, contact the marina office.

                    Please note we reserve the right to change the price of berths at any time without prior notice.

                    After a booking is made, a permit to berth will be issued and codes to access the facilities will be sent in an SMS text message on the day of your arrival.

                    Melbourne City Marina has a 'no refund' policy in the event of cancellation of a booking. We will issue a credit, which is applicable towards a future booking made within 12 months from the cancellation date. You can redeem credit by calling the marina office.

                    Melbourne City Marina lounge and meeting room hire

                    Melbourne City Marina offers one of Australia’s best lounge facilities. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the city harbour and Docklands esplanade, highlighting beautiful waterfront views. 

                    The lounge features a fully-fitted modern kitchen and an outdoor deck with a barbeque. The marina lounge is available for public dry hire April to October, subject to availability.

                    If you’re from an industry-related organisation, you can also hire our light-flooded harbour view meeting room during business hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday). The room hire includes six rectangular tables which seat up to 18 people boardroom-style, a wall-mounted 60 inch screen, whiteboard, air conditioning and heating, as well as a shared kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities.

                    Food and dining at Melbourne City Marina

                    Enjoy lazy lunches or romantic evening banquets with waterfront views at one of the many restaurants in Docklands.

                    The District Docklands shopping and dining precinct is a two-minute walk away from Melbourne City Marina and offers a range of casual restaurant and bar options, as well as a fresh food precinct which includes Woolworths and Dan Murphy’s. Costco is located just behind the Melbourne Star. Visit The District Docklands for further information. 

                    Entertainment for the family

                    The District is the experiential and entertainment hub of the Docklands, offering fun activities for people of all ages. 

                    Kids will be overwhelmed with a choice of fun and unique experiences at Docklands. They can immerse themselves in the fun 3D paintings of the Artvo gallery, go bowling or play state-of-the-art arcade games at Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, watch a movie at the gold standard Hoyts cinema, ice-skate at O’Brien Icehouse or play glow in the dark golf at GlowGolf.
