Connecting minds, creating change was the theme of MKW 2016, back for its seventh year with more than 65 inspiring events dotted throughout the city, and a buzzing Festival Hub.
Delivered in partnership with the organisations best placed to imagine and shape Melbourne’s future, MKW 2016 provided a chance to see why accountants are working with coders in the botanical gardens, learn how augmented reality is changing neurosurgery, and find out how the block chain has the potential to revolutionise the economy.
Featured events included: the Co-working Space Open Day, BlackBOX – Design and Innovation exhibition, and a keynote address by international guest Dan Hill. Meanwhile dozens of workshops explored UX design, data visualisation or cryptography and hackathons solved real problems facing our city.
