The West Gate Tunnel is a Victorian Government $6.7 billion major road project, being delivered in partnership with Transurban. The West Gate Tunnel Authority (formerly the Western Distributor Authority) is the government body responsible for the management and delivery of the project.

The Port to City section of the project is within the City of Melbourne municipality.
