                    Amendment C432: Municipal Planning Strategy

                    The Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) is the local component of the Planning Policy Framework within the Melbourne Planning Scheme.

                    The MPS incorporates the vision and objectives of Council’s strategies, plans, policies and responses to emerging issues for managing land use and development for the next 10 to 20 years.​

                    Details of a formal period of public exhibition will be provided shortly.

                    Current status

                    On 19 July 2022, the Municipal Planning Strategy was presented to the Future Melbourne Committee. The Future Melbourne Committee resolved to request authorisation from the Minister for Planning under the Planning and Environment Act 1987, to prepare and exhibit an amendment to the Melbourne Planning Scheme to incorporate the Melbourne Municipal Planning Strategy
