The restoration works will be carried out in sections, starting on Queensberry Street before moving onto Errol Street and the 26 m clock tower. Scaffolding will be in place for the duration of the project, which will impact the surrounding footpaths and entrances to the building.
Works started in February 2023 and are scheduled to finish in mid-2023.
Gas-free operations
In line with our Emissions Reduction Plan for Council Operations 2021-26, we're transitioning all gas services in the building to electrical to help reduce emissions. These works include the installation of new heating and cooling pumps.
