Individuals, groups and organisations who meet the mandatory criteria are eligible to enter. Please view the
selection criteria to see if you are eligible.
How much does it cost to enter?
The 2012 Melbourne Awards is free to enter.
How do l enter?
Entries for the 2012 Melbourne Awards open on 9 Feburary. You can be nominated or nominate yourself.
You are required to fill out a Registration of Entry form to advise us of your intention to enter. This will only take a few moments to complete and we request they are completed as soon as possible. The registration form can be completed online at Enter the awards.
What are the key dates?

How long should my submission be and can I include attachments?
Your submission must be no longer than six A4 pages, single-sided. The font must be 12 point Times New Roman, Helvetica or Arial.
Submissions should clearly answer the key selection criteria for the award category you are entering. Send a disk containing a full copy of your submission in addition to one printed hard copy no later than Monday 7 May 2012.

Can I enter in consecutive years?
Previous entrants who did not receive a Melbourne Award are eligible to re-enter in the awards. Past winners may not enter in consecutive years unless the contribution/project has progressed significantly or they are entering another project.
Can I enter more than one category?
You may not enter the same contribution/project in more than one category. You must choose the category that is most relevant to the nature of your entry. For a detailed summary of each category please visit Categories.
Who are the judges that judge my entry?
The judges are an independent panel of Melbourne-based business professionals from a diverse range of relevant business disciplines. For more information please visit Judging process.
What is the next step if l am selected as a finalist?
Finalists will be advised by letter on 24 July.
How will l know if I'm not selected as a finalist?
A letter will be sent to all entrants, both finalists and non-finalists.
How many of my staff can l bring to the awards function?
Finalists receive two complimentary tickets to the Gala Awards Ceremony. You are very much encouraged to bring your staff, family and friends with you to the event. A booking form will be sent to all finalists if you wish to purchase any extra tickets.
