Since then, through his Atlantic Group [v] of companies, Hatem has continued to be a trailblazer in food and entertainment venues across Melbourne including at South Wharf, Southbank and Docklands.
In 2007 Hatem created a legacy for Melbourne by transforming historic Central Pier in Docklands into an unrivalled destination for the city’s most exciting events and parties. After a $34 million redevelopment, Central Pier now attracts around 1000 events and one million visitors every year.
More recently he opened a premium seafood restaurant at Crown, which welcomes around 200,000 guests per annum and boasts a much-coveted Chef’s Hat.
