Disability parking permits
To use designated accessible parking spaces you must display a valid disability parking permit.
The accessible permit scheme managed by VicRoads includes three permit types:
- Australian Disability Parking (ADP) permit for individuals
- Double Time (DT) permit for individuals
- Australian Disability Parking (ADP) permit for organisations.
City of Melbourne manages an additional permit type:
- City Access permit for individuals (who hold a valid ADP permit).

Access and mobility information
Our access and mobility maps show the locations of accessible toilets, mobility recharging points, public seating and drinking fountains as well as train station entrances and tram and bus stops.

Disability parking signs
Spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying Australian Disability Parking permits.
Look for parking signs displaying the international symbol of access like the example below.

Double time signs
Disability Parking and Double Time permit holders can park for double the time limit in these spaces.
Look for green ‘P’ parking signs like the example below.
