It's never too late to learn how to swim! Join our tailored adult swimming lessons at Melbourne City Baths. Our friendly instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of swimming, water safety, and stroke refinement in small group settings.

Our program

Our program includes five levels:

  • Water Familiarisation (30 minutes): For adults with no or limited swimming experience wanting to learn to be comfortable in the water.
  • Water Confidence (30 minutes): Perfect for those comfortable in water, can float, submerge and kick. For students at the stage of learning basic strokes, such as freestyle or backstroke.
  • Water Advancement (30 minutes): Ideal for refining basic strokes (Freestyle and Backstroke) and learning new ones.
  • Stroke Development (30 minutes): We continue correcting technique and building endurance.
  • Stroke Refinement (45 minutes): For experienced swimmers who are competent in their swimming strokes and comfortable swimming over 500m. Perfect for improving fitness and endurance or for those wanting to get involved in open water swimming or triathlons.
