The new toilet replaces the underground public toilet on the centre median strip east of Lygon Street. Two car park spaces will be permanently removed.

The new toilet is a modern and compact cubicle with features such as an automatic sliding door, automatic flush, touchless handwashing station and a secure locking system.

Works started in May 2023 and were completed in August 2023.
