Enterprize Park Landscape Upgrade

Works to upgrade the landscape at Enterprize Park, located on the north side of the Yarra River between Sealife Aquarium and Queensbridge Street are complete.

The project expanded the lawn area, enhanced views to the river, improved accessibility, strengthened connectivity through the park and reinstated indigenous vegetation.

The first stage of works to demolish the concrete plinths at the base of the railway viaduct was completed in 2020. The plinths blocked views between the park and river and were not required structurally. Their removal has made way for an additional 1000 square meters of green space.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the project was delayed at several stages of construction through both 2020 and 2021. This impacted the second stage of works, which originally was set to be completed by mid-2021. We thank residents, traders and the community for their patience during this period.

The second stage involving the landscaping works commenced in January 2021 and was completed in early 2022.

The new Enterprize Park is the first project to be completed as part of the Greenline, a 4 km link that will connect Birrarung Marr to the Bolte Bridge.

Landscaping works included the expanded lawn area, new seating along the river s edge, accessible pathways and wider stairways, an improved meeting place for Aboriginal cultural tours and the reinstatement of indigenous vegetation.
