2022 Community Award

Since 1975, Kensington Neighbourhood House (KNH) has been the heart of the Kensington community, providing a place where people of all abilities, backgrounds and ages can participate.

​Each year KNH welcomes over 1,000 people from 70 countries to connect, learn and create together. By upholding the values of accessibility, equity and inclusion, the House empowers all Melburnians to become active citizens while alleviating social isolation and providing opportunities for personal and educational achievement.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. 

 

We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
