Melbourne Visitor Hub at Town Hall

The Visitor Hub at Town Hall offers local knowledge and personal insights about Melbourne. You can pick up guides, brochures and maps, public transport information and free wi-fi.

Location: Melbourne Town Hall, cnr Swanston Street and Little Collins Street, Melbourne

Operating hours: Open daily from 9am to 6pm (except Christmas Day)

Melbourne Visitor Booth

This information service is conveniently located in the heart of the city’s retail centre. Drop by for advice on where to shop, where to eat and what to do. Friendly volunteers at the Melbourne Visitor Booth provide maps and information on shopping, attractions and events.

Location: Bourke Street Mall (between Swanston and Elizabeth streets)

Operating hours: Open daily from 9am to 5pm (except Good Friday and Christmas Day)

City Ambassadors

Keep an eye out for our City Ambassadors in their distinctive red uniforms and get personal assistance with directions, public transport, events and more. Wherever you're from, our friendly volunteers can help with their extensive local knowledge.

Location: Mainly along Swanston Street, at corners such as Flinders Street and Bourke Street

Operating hours: Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm Sunday, 11.30am to 3pm (except Good Friday and Christmas Day)

Melbourne Greeter Service

Discover what locals love about Melbourne with a free walking orientation of the city. Groups of up to four can be accommodated and bookings are essential. Orientations are available daily in English (excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day) and depart at 9.30am from the Melbourne Visitor Hub at Town Hall. Orientations in other languages are also available.
