Class descriptions

 

Beep Fit (10-15 minutes)

Beep Fit is a great way for you to test your cardiovascular fitness and track your progress. You'll complete the traditional beep test, running back and forth along a 20 metre track, keeping up with a series of recorded beeps. The beeps start slowly and gradually get faster. When you can't keep up with the beeps you stop, giving you an indication of your aerobic fitness level.

Beep Fit is held on the first Monday of every month and runs for approximately 10 – 15 minutes, allowing you to join in other group fitness classes afterwards.

Boxing (45 minutes)

Boxing is a great high intensity class combining cardio and endurance work with muscle strength and power to create one great workout.  This mixed boxing class provides participants with the skills required for effective punching and kicking while ensuring they work hard to burn as much fat as possible.

No previous boxing skills or knowledge are required, just a great attitude for this 45 minute class!

Cycling (45 minutes) Whether your last bike ride was on training wheels or you're ready for the Tour de France, improve your cardiovascular fitness with this fun indoor cycling program. designed for all levels of fitness, this class offers a low-impact, highly effective workout to get your heart pumping and burn calories.

KBT (45 minutes)

This unique outdoor class will improve your strength, condition your body, increase your heart rate, make you sweat and burn calories. KBT classes complement all exercise goals. We offer a variety of kettle bell weights which makes it easy for beginners to learn, and great for seasoned gym users wanting to see results!

Outdoor Fitness (45 minutes)

This outdoor class focuses on achieving overall fitness through body weight exercises, free weight equipment and all that the outdoors has to offer! Our instructors change the sessions from week to week providing you with new, fun and challenging programs.

Pilates

Pilates helps to improve body awareness, posture and decrease stress levels. The pilates method targets abdominal, back and shoulder muscles to improve stability whilst strengthening the pelvic floor and core muscles. Pilates also focuses on breathing to get you moving and feeling fantastic. Classes cater for beginners through to advanced participants. Please note that Monday and Thursday night Pilates classes run for 45 minutes. Tuesday night Pilates is one hour duration.

Run Fit

Run Fit will improve and assist you in achieving your short and long distance running goals. Our instructors will take you for long runs and also allocate sessions to building speed and power. Run Fit is great for people who have never run before, getting back into running and those who love to run.

Skip Fit

Skip Fit will improve your fitness, coordination and burn 500+ calories per session.  Getting back to basics, Skip Fit only uses the skipping rope. Our instructors will teach you how to skip, provide challenging and different routines that keeping you wanting more! Skip Fit classes cater for beginners to advanced skippers.

Stadium Circuit (45 minutes)

Take your fitness to a whole new level with this circuit based class. Held in our stadium, we have the space to combine cardio, core and body weight exercises with free weight equipment, creating a fast paced interval workout. This class offers individual support, great for beginners to learn technique while continuing to challenge our regular participants.

Swim Squad (45 minutes, seasonal only, 1 October to 30 April)

Love to swim and want to increase your fitness? We offer a fantastic Squad program for those wanting to develop their stroke technique or just increase fitness in the pool. Sessions focus on refining and correcting technique to improve your swimming efficiency while building endurance. Squad caters for all swimming abilities.

Torso Tone (45 minutes)

Torso Tone is designed to condition your whole body with a focus on improving core and postural muscles utilising swiss balls, free weights and body weight exercises. Achieve a balanced workout by combining upper and lower body exercises. Torso Tone classes will help you trim your core and tone your body in a fun and effective way.

TRX Fit (45 minutes)

TRX Fit is our latest 45 minute outdoor class. Utilising a frame apparatus and portable slings our personal trainers will have your muscles aching! These classes rely on gravity and your body weight to tone your muscles and increase your heart rate to burn calories. Beginners welcome and all equipment provided.

Yoga Fusion (one hour)

Our Yoga instructors draw inspiration from a variety of Yoga methods. These classes will, with practice, strengthen your postural muscles while bringing awareness and efficiency to your breathing patterns. We welcome beginners to advanced participants, with all levels of flexibility.

Young at Heart (45 minutes)

Young at Heart classes offer a flexible and social program for over 60s. Classes are held in the gym and outdoors, providing you with interesting and varied workouts. You will work with weight machines, free weights and body weight exercises. Instructors will work closely with you providing a supportive environment for your to maintain and improve mobility, flexibility and strength.

Zumba® (45 minutes) These Latin dance classes fuse hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Join the party and experience an absolute blast of calorie-burning, body energising, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
