Enrolments for the aquatic education program can be made at any stage throughout the swimming term except during the last two weeks of term. This can be done via email or in person at the Melbourne City Baths. Classes are booked on a first come first served basis.
Payments are organised on a fortnightly direct debit schedule and enrolments can only be taken when the initial payment is received. Students are automatically re-enrolled for successive terms to ease the process. Students will be enrolled in the same class for the following term unless they have been upgraded by their teacher or completed the stopping payments/classes process (see attached enrolment forms for details). All aquatic education students are entitled to free swimming and locker use outside lesson times allowing them to practice their skills.

How direct debits are calculated
There are approximately 40 aquatic education lessons per year, we multiply 40 lessons by the cost per lesson then divide by 24 fortnights.
Example: 40 lessons x $15.50 = $620/24 =$25.80 per fortnight.
For current prices please contact Melbourne City Baths on 9658 9011.
Normally there are 26 fortnights each year, therefore Melbourne City Baths does not debit your account on two occasions during the Victorian summer school holidays. Direct debits will still occur during the autumn, winter and spring holiday periods.
Melbourne City Baths has an aquatic education registration cost. Please contact a leisure service officer 9658 9011 for more details.
Terms and conditions are available on the aquatic education membership form (PDF, 1mb) or from the terms and conditions section of the website.
