Group fitness classes

Group fitness classes are a motivating way to keep fit and healthy.

The Melbourne City Baths Group Fitness  timetable offers an extensive range of classes including our unique 45/15 and Kettle Bell classes. From beginners to advanced, there is something for everyone.

Classes Description

BODYPUMP

The original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. 

45/15 circuit style class 

This unique circuit style class combining machine and free weight working your way through 15 programmed exercises, completing 45 seconds of work with 15 seconds recovery. Suitable for beginners through to the advanced. 

KBT (Kettle Bell Training) 

A 45 minute strength and conditioning class. Our Russian Kettle Bells are great for beginners through to seasoned gym users wanting to see results! We recommend wearing a set of sweat bands. 

Running Club 

This 45 minute outdoor running session will take you to some of the CBD’s most popular and scenic running tracks. Instructors will guide you in technique and even help you work towards that fun run or triathlon you’re aiming for. 

Cycling

Whether your last bike ride was on training wheels or you’re ready for the Tour de France, burn fat fast with this fun indoor cycling program. Classes are 45 minute. 

Boxing Circuit 

With a focus on technique, this class will give you the moves to power punch and kick your way to fitness and peace of mind. 

RPM  

Indoor  cycling  workout with no impact, no coordination, just sheer hard work where you can almost feel the calories falling off!

Great music inspires you through a range of riding terrains enacted through the use of resistance and variable speeds. The best thing about the program is you ride within your own limits. 

Zumba

These Latin dance classes fuse hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away.

 

Join the party and experience an absolute blast of calorie-burning, body energising, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Fatburner 

Fatburner is a high octane cardio workout followed by muscle conditioning to dramatically improve your fitness, muscle tone and strength.  

Torso tone

Torso Tone is designed to condition your whole body with a focus on improving core and postural muscles utilising swiss balls, free weights and body weight exercises.

 

Achieve a balanced workout by combining upper and lower body exercises. Torso Tone classes will help you trim your core and tone your body in a fun and effective way.

Water Workout 

Water Workout is a moderate to high intensity 45 minute program in our specialised pool. A variety of aquatic equipment is used in these workouts for extra resistance and to assist with floatation. 

Yoga Fusion 

Yoga fusion combines posture, breathing and relaxation techniques from a number of yoga disciplines to improve your circulation and flexibility. No prior yoga experience is required. 

Movement Unlimited 

Our qualified instructors plan these sessions to specifically cater for healthy minded people 60 and over. You can improve your health and wellbeing as well as meeting and socialising with others. 

50+ 4 Fitness

  • Land - Gentle exercise, stretching and relaxation.
  • Water - Gentle water exercises, stretching and relaxation.

Designed for people 50 years and over to help participants maintain and improve their level of fitness, balance, flexibility and strength. The class comprises four components: dance, strength, balance and mobility, to give participants a full workout without work overload.

Living Stronger

A combination of strength and flexibility exercises to help improve bone density and mobility for healthy minded people 60 and over.This class requires a Lifestyle Consultation prior to commencement.

Pilates A class that helps to improve body awareness and posture while focusing on your breathing to decreasing stress levels. The Pilates method targets abdominal, back and shoulder muscles whilst strengthening the pelvic floor and core to improve coordination and balance.

WHIP (Whole-Body High Intensity Programming)

Utilising various equipment this high octane 30 minute whole body workout will drive and push you harder than you can imagine. You will burn calories, fast track your fitness goals and it's sure to WHIP you into shape.

 

TRX

This suspension based training uses bodyweight exercise to simultaneously develop strength, power, flexibility, endurance, mobility, balance and core stability.
Utilising the TRX slings this class is suitable for all fitness levels. You will get a whole-body workout, working muscles you have never felt before. Try it and feel the difference.

Class bookings

Group fitness class tickets are available one hour prior to the scheduled class time. Please collect your ticket from reception at least five minutes before the class commences and present your ticket to the group fitness instructor upon entry to the class.
