Melbourne Awards

Since 2003, the Melbourne Awards have celebrated the people and organisations whose vision and hard work shape our city.

The awards honour a diverse range of contributions, focusing on the people and organisations who go above and beyond the call of duty.

Winners are selected through an independent judging process, which gives entrants access to industry leaders and professionals who often become ambassadors for the achievements they witness.

The 2009 program culminated in the presentation of awards at the prestigious Gala Dinner and Ceremony on Saturday, 29 August. The Melburnian of the Year, Susan Barton AM, was also honoured on the night.

Vision

To identify and celebrate significant contributions which shape the future of Melbourne and to communicate these achievements to inspire others.
