Riverslide Skatepark
The Riverslide Skatepark, in the Alexandra Gardens, is a five-minute skate from Flinders Street Railway Station.
Riverslide has 1800 square metres of skating surfaces and is the biggest skate park in the inner city. The park was designed in consultation with skaters, and has a street-skating focus so you can test your stuff on ramps and fun-boxes.
Riverslide Skatepark facilities and services
- lessons: skate lessons (group and private) are available at the park
- skating for all levels: the park caters for beginners, intermediate and advanced skaters
- competitions and events: come and watch or enter yourself in one of the regular events
- space for kicking back: there’s plenty of shade at the park and heaps of room for spectators. There’s also a café if you need a refreshing beverage or snack.
- supervised skating: during busy periods, supervision and first aid are available at the park. First aid is also provided by the skate office during operating hours (10am until dark).
- skating gear: protective gear is available, and there’s a skate shop on the site. Protective gear for skaters is highly recommended.
How do I find the park?
To find the park, from Flinders Street Station, cross Swanston Street to Federation Square. At the square, turn right and head down St Kilda Road towards Princes Bridge.
Cross the bridge and head down to the south bank of the Yarra River. Skate along the path (heading away from the restaurants), and you’ll soon find the skate park.
