Newmarket Reserve, Kensington is part of an extensive network of public open spaces within the City of Melbourne. The 1.7 ha triangular-shaped reserve includes a sports oval and a lawn bowls club. This local reserve is used for informal recreation and organised sport, such as walking, seasonal sport such as cricket or soccer and lawn bowls.
Following an extensive community consultation process in 2011 and after being endorsed by Council, The City of Melbourne has released its first ever master plan for Newmarket Reserve which is now available for viewing and to download.
