The City of Melbourne hosts information sessions to provide information about the grants and give potential applicants the opportunity to ask questions.
A general grants information session is held during the grant application period each year.

Lunchtime briefing sessions
The lunchtime briefing sessions cover more specific detail about the assessment criteria, application form and assessment process.
If you intend to apply for a grant, we encourage you to attend one session within the grant category you intend to apply in. Please note there is a maximum of 20 places available in each session so please register via the form below.

Business planning workshops
The City of Melbourne is providing two full day workshops for small business, social enterprise and micro business grant applications, covering business planning, business financial education and marketing.
The workshops will run from 9am to 4.30pm, with a half hour lunch break (Note: lunch is not included).

The workshops provide participants with an understanding of what is required to either start or grow a business for profit (or not for profit) and develop the skills necessary to put together a top quality business plan, get their financial planning right and to get their new venture off to a successful start.
The workshops will be provided free of charge, however numbers are strictly limited. Workshop participants will be on a first come, first served basis, but please note priority will be given to businesses located or considering location within the City of Melbourne.
