                    Synergetics Environmental Engineering

                    Dave Collins, Synergistics
Synergetics Environmental Engineering has won the 2013 Melbourne Award for Contribution to Sustainability by a Corporation.

Synergetics Environmental Engineering has shown it is entirely possible to create carbon neutral buildings to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by at least 25 per cent.

The company retrofitted a tired tilt slab building at 490 Spencer Street in Melbourne to make it energy efficient in every possible way at an affordable cost. This thriving commercial office building is the first in Australia to generate more energy than it consumes, with a 50 per cent return on investment.

Synergetics is now promoting Positive Energy Buildings across Melbourne and Australia and has founded a student-led business start-up called Untapped Energy to harness the passion and ideas of students and to highlight sustainable possibilities and opportunities to building owners and tenants.
