Working for her husband Peter’s uncle in the bread shop at weekends made her realise that she loved the vibrancy and characters of the market.

When Peter’s uncle decided to retire in 2001, she and Peter bought the business. They sell bread and sweets with a focus on old style sourdough bread. They buy a lot of their bread from other family businesses.

Michelle says she didn’t set out to own a business in Queen Victoria Market, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
