What's on City of Melbourne

Skating

Skaters are welcome in the City of Melbourne.

Sharing busy city streets with others can be tricky, especially when trying to dodge shoppers, prams, pets and small children. So check out our Skate safe guidelines before you hit the streets, or head to a skate park for maximum skating fun.

Where to skate

Riverslide Skate Park

The Riverslide Skate Park in the Alexandra Gardens is a five-minute walk from Flinders Street Railway Station.

Riverslide has 1800 square metres of skating surfaces and is the biggest skate park in the City of Melbourne. The park was designed in consultation with skaters, and has a street-skating focus so you can test your stuff on ramps and fun-boxes.

Riverslide caters for beginners, intermediate and advanced skaters. Facilities and services include skate lessons, competitions and events, cafe and chill out spots, first aid and supervision, skate shop and equipment hire.
