What's on City of Melbourne

Tram works

From time to time works are carried out within the City of Melbourne to maintain and improve the tram network.

Works by the State Government

The Think Tram program is a Victorian Government initiative aimed at improving tram travel times, reliability, accessibility and safety along the busiest parts of Melbourne’s tram network.

Under the program, works include modifications to traffic signals to give trams priority and construction of platform tram stops. Platform stops provide safer and easier access for all tram passengers, particularly the elderly and people in wheelchairs.
