On 19 October 2021 the Future Melbourne Committee endorsed the Emissions Reduction Plan for Council Operations 2021-26, an update to our first Emissions Reduction Plan. This plan is a comprehensive commitment to emissions reduction action that Council will deliver for its own operations to 2026.

The Public Lighting Strategy provides direction for public and private external lighting throughout the municipality.

The Victorian Government's Road Management Act provides for each road authority throughout the state to prepare a Road Management Plan.

The City of Melbourne is proud to support reconciliation within our organisation, across the city and through our national and international connections. Our fifth Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), the Innovate RAP 2021–23 reaffirms our respect for Aboriginal peoples' unique heritage and culture.

The Council Plan 2021–25 describes the community’s long-term vision for Melbourne and shows how the Council will strive towards that vision during its four-year term.

Our Economic Development Strategy outlines a 10-year plan for economic, social and cultural recovery for our city as it emerges from the impacts of COVID-19.

We provide a number of services and facilities to our community, and in doing so, must collect revenue to cover the cost. The Revenue and Rating Plan 2021-25 identifies each source of revenue to be included in the Council Budget, and the policy rationale and assumptions that underpin these.

The City of Melbourne is reducing graffiti within the municipality through a mix of prevention, removal, enforcement and collaboration with Victoria Police.
