Around 30 hotels in the City of Melbourne have now gone green, reducing their waste, water and energy use.
Here’s how the City of Melbourne helps support green business.
Savings in the city
The City of Melbourne's Savings in the City program helped city hotels cut energy, water and waste consumption, providing leadership, support, recognition, tool-kits and advice.
30 hotels and serviced apartments participated in the pilot program, which helped save 401 trucks worth of garbage, enough water to fill 45 Olympic swimming pools and 24,769 tonnes of greenhouse gas.
